With constant reminders of risk and uncertainty in the media, I found myself living more inwardly than ever. Stillness under quarantine spurred reflection in my personal outlook. As jarring as it was, the contrast between external chaos and internal stillness became an inspiration. I began to notice the subtleties of change: the vulnerability, the lonely hungering for reassurance, and the silent struggles that often go unnoticed.
Through my art, I captured this side of quiet individual struggle amidst chaos. My art celebrates the individual and their contributions towards culture and progress. I intend for my art to translate my world views into unique, purposeful pieces that prompt others to notice the delicate subtleties that exist upon close inspection.
My future plans…
In college, I hope to study design, perhaps with a pre-med path. In the next five years, I can see myself either continuing with design or studying dermatology. As of now, I am working on building my online stationery store.
My advice for my younger OCSA Classmates-
Spend time doing things you like :-)
